Alford Pre-school provides an introduction to Early Learning for children offering a high level of support to children transitioning from leaving parents/carers, potentially for the first time, to building confidence and helping to develop natural curiosity, explore and develop friendships.

Our well-established staff have a wealth of experience and together with our setting environment provide a valuable experience for your child.Alford Pre-school , in Partnership with Aberdeenshire Council, provide early learning and childcare provision for eligible funded children from aged 2* to 5 years. *2Nurture place based on meeting Aberdeenshire Council criteria requirements.

We are registered as a Scottish Charitable Organisation; SC021981 and are members of Early Years Scotland (EYS) who provide support to the Committee and organisation.

Alford Pre-school are managed by an elected voluntary Committee, comprising of parents/carers of children attending setting together with interested parties, in accordance with Early Years Scotland Guideline.

Alford Pre-school are registered with the Care Inspectorate.

The Care Inspectorate is a scrutiny body which supports improvement. They look at the quality of care in Scotland to ensure it meets high standards. Where improvement is needed, they support services to make positive changes.

The Care Inspectorate was set up in April 2011 by the Scottish Government as a single regulatory body for social work and social care services, including child protection and the integration of children’s services. The Care Inspectorate carry out inspections to ensure standards are met and improved upon.
